School Council Hard at Work!

19th Jan 2026
Today, members of our school council were busy, listening to all the issues and ideas raised at class level through our class council meetings. After each class had shared their ideas on how to improve our school, our Chairperson Shea asked pupils to vote on the most popular ideas.

Exciting decisions were made such as having a longer lunchtime as a special reward during Children's Mental Health Week and ordering new footballs for lunchtime.

Pupils also decided to have a 'Break a Rule' Day on Wednesday 4th February, as part of Children's Mental Health Week. Pupils can break a rule of their choice for example, they can wear their own clothes/pyjamas, they can have crazy hair or they can eat a small treat at lunchtime. (Important rules cannot be broken that day. We will remain a nut-free school and we will continue to follow our Golden Rule- Treat others as you would like to be treated.)
More information to follow on this.

Pupils are already very excited about these plans! Well done to our school council for their excellent reasoning and communication skills. We were very impressed!
