Lynsey McSparron, our Barnados PATHS Coach, will provide a parental training workshop via Zoom on Tuesday 27th April at 7pm. This workshop will inform parents of the PATHS strategies used in school to help children manage their emotions and behaviours. The session will also cover useful tips such as breathing strategies which children can use to help them feel calm when they are faced with a problem. These strategies are implemented in all classes from P1-7 and parents may find it useful to adopt similar techniques at home. As we are ending a three year training period with Barnados, it would be important to access this training opportunity now before coaching support ends. We will continue to implement this successful PATHS programme in the long term and are hoping to achieve PATHS Model School status soon. Any child, whose parent attends the Zoom workshop on Tuesday, will not have to do written homework that night. To attend, you must have the Zoom app downloaded on your device.
