Yesterday we marked our P7 pupils' last day with a very special Leavers' mass. The pupils carried out their roles beautifully during the Mass, through readings, prayers, singing and instrumentals and the emotions were felt by all.
After the Mass, Mrs Redmond spoke about the many talents and achievements of this wonderful P7 group throughout their time in primary school. The pupils were presented with their Records of Achievement and individual pupils received Attendance and Mathletics awards. Next, we watched a heart-warming video showing special memories of the pupils' journey throughout their years at school. Pupils all received a souvenir mug adorned with the names of their classmates. They then enjoyed their special Leavers' celebration cake while the adults enjoyed refreshments.
A special word of thanks to Father McGirr, Charlotte, Mrs Boyle and Miss Doyle for helping to make this occasion so special.
A huge thank you to all staff and volunteers who have supported and nurtured these pupils along the way. Heartfelt thanks also to the family members who have supported these pupils, and our school, so generously over the last 7 years.
Good luck, boys and girls, in your post-primary schools! You are an amazing bunch and I'm sure your lights will continue to shine brightly. May God bless you in the years ahead.
