Having won the Derry and Strabane heat of the Road Safety Quiz, our quiz team took part in the NI final in the Glenavon Hotel last night. The winners and runners up from each of the 11 regions in Northern Ireland were competing, resulting in 22 teams taking part. The quiz questions were extremely challenging and required a very in-depth knowledge of the Highway Code.
We are very proud of our four P7 pupils who finished 6th out of the 22 teams. They have shown tremendous commitment and enthusiasm from the beginning of January and would most certainly be ready for their driving theory test now! They have had a wonderful experience and will hopefully remember it for a long time. Thank you for all your hard work boys and girls.
We would like to congratulate our regional neighbours Steelstown on winning the quiz last night. There has always been friendly rivalry between our quiz teams and we have no doubt that this will continue in future years.
