This week Year 3 looked at story structure, we discussed how we could use our hands to remember and retell stories. First Miss McKinney read the story of the Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. Then the children discussed in their groups the possible visuals for the beginning of the story, the middle of the story and then finally what visual could be used to indicate the end of the story. In their groups the children then created their own ‘Story Hand’ to depict the events of the story. Excellent work Year 3!
