This week Year 3 had great fun with different hands-on activities to support spelling. The children were encouraged to use manipulatives and movement to help reinforce sounds and spelling patterns. Some of the activities the children participated in were Pipe Cleaner words- Children used pipe cleaners to bend and form to make letters and words, Balloon Bop- the children had to keep a balloon in the air while spelling their word and Glue & Glitter -Write out spelling words with glitter pens. Glitter makes everything more fun, doesn’t it?
