P4 had a fabulous day today in the glorious sunshine at Butterlope Farm. Pupils had the opportunity to feed lambs, calves and sheep. They explored Annie’s vegetable patch and polytunnel and planted some salad leaves of their own. They had a go at turning a sheep’s fleece into a ball of wool and they fed the hens and gathered freshly laid eggs. They also loved finding signs of spring in the hedgerows and petting the farm dogs! A huge thanks to Annie, Vincent and Lynn for their warm welcome and their super knowledge of farm life, past and present!
