Congratulations to our Year 4 children who received the Sacrament of the Eucharist this morning for the very first time in St. Mary’s Church, Altinure. Each and every child participated in the Mass with reverence and grace, carried out their role perfectly and made everyone in St. Mary’s, Altinure so proud. God blessed us with beautiful sunshine to enjoy the delicious ice cream and treats from Fr. McGirr and tasty refreshments provided by the PTA. Thank you very much!
A special word of thanks to Fr. McGirr for his support and spiritual guidance in helping us to prepare for this special day. Thank you to Charlotte, our Faith Formation Co-ordinator for all her help, wonderful ideas and visits to our classroom. Thanks to Mrs Boyle, the Primary Four teacher, who prepared the boys and girls so thoroughly and also taught our wonderful choir, and of course, a huge thank you to our P5, 6 & 7 pupils who sang so beautifully! Thanks also to our Year 4 classroom assistants Lisa and Carrie for all their help and support. Thank you to Sinead Wilson for the stunning flower arrangements on the altar. Thanks to Shauna, Laura, Lisa, Sinead and Karen for organising and serving the refreshments and thanks to all the Primary 3 parents who kindly donated the scones and sweet treats. Thanks also to Paul, Dermot, TJ and Nigel for erecting the marquee. A final thank you to the P4 pupils who were amazing today and to their families!
