Congratulations to our Primary 4 children who received the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the very first time today in St. Mary’s Church, Altinure. All pupils participated in the Mass with reverence and grace, carried out their roles perfectly and made everyone in St. Mary’s P.S. Altinure so proud. God blessed us with beautiful sunshine to enjoy the delicious ice-cream and treats from Fr. McGirr and the tasty treats provided by the PTA and P3 parents.
A special word of thanks to Fr. McGirr for his support and spiritual guidance in helping us to prepare for this special day. Thank you to Charlotte, our Faith Formation Co-ordinator, for her help throughout the year. Thanks to Mrs Hutton, Mrs Redmond and Mairead who prepared the boys and girls so thoroughly and a huge thanks to Mrs Boyle and her wonderful choir for their fabulous singing which added so much to the ceremony.
Thanks to Shauna, Lisa and our Parents Association committee for organising the refreshments, to Margaret for the delicious scones and to all P3 parents who provided the tasty sweet treats. Thanks to Paul our caretaker and to Niall, Steven, Paul and Dermot for erecting the marquee and to our wonderful ladies, Brighid, Katie, Michelle, Coleen, Anna Mc and Anna C for serving the refreshments. A final thank you to the P4 pupils who were amazing today, and to their families!
