We are delighted to announce that our new signage has arrived!
Last term, we surveyed our whole school community, asking everyone to select their top six core values to represent our school. The most popular six core values among pupils, parents, staff and Governors were as follows: Confidence, Creativity, Resilience, Respect, Happiness and Kindness.
From our core values, staff and Governors developed our school vision and mission statements.
Our vision is to grow together and flourish as a family of learners.
Our mission is to be a safe, happy and nurturing school where everyone will be valued, motivated and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Our school council then held a competition, asking pupils in each class to design a logo to match each core value. The winning logos were sent off to a graphic designer and made into digital logos. These logos are on our school signs and will feature on our school value certificates- the winning pupils are extremely proud of their finished designs, as are we! (Missing from photos: Caitlin, our P7 winner, who is now at post-primary school.)
We will now try our best to make our vision, mission and core values a reality each day in St. Mary's PS Altinure!
