Catholic Schools Week 2021.

26th Jan 2021

As you know, this week we are celebrating Catholic Schools Week.

This morning, we celebrated the faith, learning, love, resilience and hope we have in our school by praying together in a beautiful Mass offered by Fr. O’Connell.

In addition to the activities given to classes through remote learning, the Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre have provided a full programme of activities and resources which pupils and family members may wish to access.  There are daily assemblies throughout the week with Bishop McKeown which will be of special interest to all of our pupils.

(Please ensure your child has adult supervision when using the internet.)

Bishop Donal McKeown is also doing live interview sessions each night at 7pm which may be of great interest to other family members. All sessions are available through the Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre Facebook page or at catecheticalcentre.org/webcam

Wednesday 27th January is a very special day as it is Grandparents' Day. Although we may not be able to visit our Grandparents this year, we can all contact them to remind them how much we love them. Children are asked to draw their grandparents and write a prayer for them. If you can, please take of photograph for your child's work and share it with us so that we can showcase these prayers for grandparents to read.

We hope that as many families as possible will join us in these Catholic Schools Week celebrations.
