Ciara Duddy from Dungiven library visited us today to tell us about the Big Summer Read which is happening in July and August. Pupils can choose books related to different book themes and earn bookmarks and certificates for their efforts. There are also a series of fun events planned in the library over the summer such as scavenger hunts, bingo and treasure hunts- see attached leaflet for activities and their dates. We remind parents that pupils can also listen to audio versions of books via the LibbyNi app- ask for your PIN when you are in the library to get you up and running with the app. Remember to note down the books you have read so you can do AR quizzes in September. Developing a reading habit is vitally important in developing pupils' literacy skills. Hopefully, these fun activities will spark an interest in reading for your child!
